FAQ
What occurs during the night nurse's presence?
Our night nurses provide families with non-judgmental, evidence-based postpartum support during their time in your homes.
For newborns, infants, and twins, this entails tasks such as diapering, feeding, burping, soothing, swaddling, changing, and aid them in achieving longer periods of sleep throughout the night.
Parents can anticipate receiving assistance with both breast and bottle feeding, valuable guidance on safe sleep practices, support with swaddling and other aspects of infant care, detailed documentation throughout the night, and waking up to clean, sanitized baby items in the morning.
If you are exclusively breastfeeding, we facilitate by bringing the baby to you for nursing sessions, taking care of all soothing, diaper changes, and any other needs your baby may have.
What items or arrangements are necessary for the night nurse?
Families only need to provide whatever essentials their child requires, typically including:
Crib or bassinette
Formula and/or breastmilk
Bottles
Diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes for the baby
The night nurse also requires a small lamp, a cozy space for monitoring the baby, and access to the kitchen for frequent handwashing and bottle washing throughout the night.
I'm expecting twins. Will you still help us?
We're here to provide assistance. Double the fun or triple the fun, we've got you covered.
Who exactly are you? Are you certified?
Background checks, vaccinations, CPR, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, years of infant care experience, vulnerable sectors checked and breastfeeding certified. We are all Registered Nurses.
Is the night nurse service covered by my insurance?
As registered nurses, some insurance companies may cover our services. It's best to reach out to your insurance provider and inquire about what your specific plan covers.
